Ingredients
Scale
2 cups apple cider
1 cup sourdough starter
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt for topping
Instructions
In a saucepan, reduce the apple cider over medium heat until it thickens and measures about 1 cup.
In a large bowl, combine the reduced apple cider, sourdough starter, and olive oil.
Add the flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 4-6 hours or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet and stretch it out to fit the pan.
Use your fingers to create dimples in the dough, then sprinkle with chopped rosemary and coarse sea salt.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a more intense flavor, use fresh apple cider instead of store-bought.
Feel free to add other herbs or toppings like garlic or cheese.
