  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cotton candy flavoring
  • Food coloring (pink and blue)
  • 1/2 cup cotton candy, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add vanilla extract and cotton candy flavoring to the mixture and stir well.
  3. Divide the mixture into two separate bowls.
  4. Add a few drops of pink food coloring to one bowl and blue food coloring to the other, mixing until the desired color is achieved.
  5. Pour the pink mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Once the pink ice cream is ready, transfer it to a container and layer with the blue mixture, then churn the blue mixture.
  7. After churning the blue ice cream, layer it on top of the pink ice cream in the container.
  8. Swirl the two colors together gently with a spatula.
  9. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  10. Serve topped with cotton candy for an extra fun treat!

Notes

  • For a more intense flavor, add more cotton candy flavoring to taste.
  • Make sure to use food coloring that is safe for food use.
