A deliciously cheesy and herb-infused bread that pulls apart easily, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of bread
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the loaf of bread diagonally in both directions, creating a grid pattern without cutting all the way through.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, basil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Carefully drizzle the garlic herb butter mixture into the cuts of the bread.
  5. Stuff the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese into the cuts of the bread.
  6. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Unwrap the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the bread is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add red pepper flakes to the butter mixture.
  • Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
  • This bread is best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.
