  • 2 pounds of flank steak
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices of provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Place the flank steak in the crockpot.
  2. Add the sliced onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and minced garlic on top of the steak.
  3. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the ingredients.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the steak is tender.
  6. Once cooked, shred the steak with two forks and mix it with the vegetables and juices.
  7. Toast the hoagie rolls and fill them with the steak mixture.
  8. Top each sandwich with provolone cheese and let it melt before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add sliced mushrooms to the crockpot.
  • Serve with a side of fries or a salad for a complete meal.
