  • 1 cup raw cashews, soaked
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a blender, combine soaked cashews, nutritional yeast, almond milk, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric, salt, and pepper.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. In a large pot, combine the cooked macaroni and the cashew cheese sauce.
  5. Stir well to coat the macaroni evenly with the sauce.
  6. Heat over low heat for a few minutes until warmed through.
