  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. For the Chocolate Box Cake, mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Stir in boiling water until smooth.
  5. Pour batter into prepared cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. For the Red Velvet Cake, combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
  7. In another bowl, mix oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vanilla, and vinegar.
  8. Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
